These are just a short list of reasons why the interdisciplinary field of Career Development Education is increasingly valuable to our young people. Navigating a future pathway with confidence is a skill that can be nurtured, practiced and learned.
The second of the two goals in the 2019 Alice Springs (Mparntwe) Education Declaration, agreed by Australia’s Commonwealth, state and territory education ministers, is that “all young Australians become confident and creative individuals, successful lifelong learners, and active and informed members of the community”. Look closely at the declaration’s detail and it’s clear that well-delivered Career Development Education is a critical driver of achieving this goal equitably.

Career Play offers flexible and targeted support for schools in need of additional pathways and careers program assistance. Our qualified and experienced teacher career practitioners provide responsive support to schools, students and families.
We provide short term and casual support covering a range of needs. This may include covering practitioners on leave to provide support at critical decision making times for students, families and schools. We can also work as an additional part of your existing program for times you need additional resources or support. We can travel to you for in person support and also provide ongoing online career development support.
